What does the word “Race” mean?

Race is a word that has been floating around for centuries, and now in 2021 we must face this word for what it really stands for. Race is a word that has divided us for decades.

The problem with the word race (tribe) issue is not the fault of the President of the United States of America. He, like all other Presidents before him, is not a Saint. The race (tribe) problem is in the heart of all mankind. Ladies and Gentlemen, to change the direction of the African American Ethnic group there must, I repeat, there must be a change in the way we think. We have to as a people, get out of the “Willie Lynch” mentality and embrace our true identity. We are a multicultural people who have endured enough hardship in this country called Americans.

A serious biblical study of tribes or ethnicity should start in Genesis 1. The Bible did not start off with race it started with “tribes.” When the first human being was created he was simply called Adam, which is Hebrew for “mankind.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, here are some quotes by Malcolm X:

A. “A man who stands for nothing will fall for anything.

B. “We are nonviolent with people who are nonviolent with us.”

C. “Don’t be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn’t do what you do, or think as you think, or as fast. There was a time when you didn't know what you know today.”

D. “My Alma mater is books, a good library...I could spend the rest of my life reading, just satisfying my curiosity.” Knowledge is power!

E. “Stumbling is not failing.”

F. “There is no better than adversity. Every defeat, every heartbeat, every loss, contains its own seed, its own lesson on how to improve your performance next time.”

G. “ We didn't land on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock

landed on us.”

H. “Concerning nonviolence, it is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself when he is the constant victim of brutal attacks.”

I. “A race (tribe) of people is like an individual man; until it uses its own talent, takes pride in its own history, expresses its own culture, affirms its own Self-hood, it can never fulfill itself.”

J. When a person places the proper value on freedom, there is nothing under the sun that he will not do to acquire that freedom. Whenever you hear a man saying he wants freedom, but in the next breath he is going to tell you what he won’t do to get it, or what he doesn’t believe in doing in order to get it, he doesn’t believe in freedom. A man who believes in freedom will do anything under the sun to acquire, or preserve his freedom.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, this was a man that was ahead of his time. He inspired Black Americans around the world, and his teachings are still inspiring us today.

Be safe, wear your mask, pray and keep the faith. "One God—One Aim—One destiny.”
